Benitez desperate for improvement

Rafa Benitez has admitted ‘any win will do’ as his Liverpool side go in search of a much-needed three points against basement boys Portsmouth at Anfield on Monday evening (Liverpool 1/4, Pompey 11/1, the draw 9/2 on totesport).
The Reds are now struggling to secure fourth spot in the Premier League after last Monday’s 1-0 reverse at Wigan and must beat Pompey on Monday to keep their hopes alive.
However, Benitez has warned his players they will face a tricky test against Avram Grant’s side, who have shown signs of life in recent weeks despite being cast adrift at the bottom.
“At home against bottom team Portsmouth people will not just want a win, but a lot of goals,” Benitez admitted.
“If we play well, 1-0 would be fantastic. You just have to win.
“It is an important week and Portsmouth have nothing to lose, so they are dangerous.”
