‘Pacman’ plans Clottey surprise

Manny Pacquiao has said he plans to pull off a major surprise against underdog Joshua Clottey in Texas on Saturday night (Pacquiao 1/7 draw 33/1 Clottey 4/1 – fight prices).
The Filipino superstar, regarded by many as the best fighter in the world, puts his WBO welterweight title on the line in front of a sell-out crowd of 45,000 inside the impressive $1.2billion Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
Freddie Roach revealed earlier this week Pacquiao (50-3-2) plans to go for the body of his Bronx-based opponent and “crush” the IBF light welterweight champion.
The Ghanaian grinder’s 35-3 record does not include a stoppage defeat but Pacquiao, who tipped the scales at a career-heaviest 145 and three-quarter pounds, has suggested that will change on Saturday night (Pacquiao 4/6 – By KO, TKO or DQ).
He said: “I’m not going to promise a knockout but I’ll do my best to make people happy. I don’t want them to be disappointed on Saturday night. People are going to be surprised by our strategy.”
