The big guns will be teeing off on Thursday as the players focus on the ‘fifth Major‘ and the richest tournament in golf when The Players Championship gets underway at Sawgrass – and there is a distinctly British look at the top of the outright market.

The European Tour finally returns to Europe this week with the Open de Espana set to begin on Thursday in Terrassa. None of the top stars are in the line-up but it still looks to be a competitive field, with Nicolas Colsaerts favourite to land the spoils (Colsaerts 14/1 – Tournament Outright).

Tiger Woods is back in action this week at the Wells Fargo Championship. It will be his first outing since a disappointing showing at the Masters and all eyes will be on the American to see if he can bounce straight back. The PGA Tour rolls into Louisiana this week for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Luke Donald is the favourite but Masters champion Bubba Watson is back in action as he attempts to defend his title (Watson 14/1 Tournament Outright).

The PGA Tour moves from South Carolina to the Lone Star State this week with the Valero Texas Open. It is by no means the strongest field with most of the big names taking a week off. Matt Kuchar is the favourite and a repeat of his display at the Masters might be good enough to claim the title (Kuchar 10/1 Tournament Outright).

After an amazing Masters tournament, the PGA Tour returns to normal life with this week’s RBC Heritage. Although by no means the strongest field of the year, there are many stars on view who played at Augusta with Luke Donald favourite to land the spoils (Donald 6/1 Tournament Outright).

The year’s first major gets underway on Thursday as the best players in the world converge on Augusta National for the Masters. It looks set to be a wide-open affair with the added bonus of having a resurgent Tiger Woods back in the field. The final event on the PGA Tour before the Masters gets under way on Thursday as the players line up for the Shell Houston Open. It is not the strongest field of the year as several of the top stars have chosen to take the week off before Augusta but Lee Westwood will tee it up and is favourite to land the title at Redstone Golf Club (Westwood 10/1 Tournament Outright).
