Collingwood reveals duo hope

Paul Collingwood has indicated that Kevin Pietersen and Stuart Broad are likely to miss England’s Twenty20 series (which England are 5/1 to win with Totesport) against South Africa, as the pair look to prove their fitness for the one-day series.
England’s selectors are taking a cautious approach with Pietersen, who has been sidelined for several months following Achilles surgery.
The tourists are hoping to play the South-African born batsman in a practice game against South Africa A to judge whether he will be fit for the 50-over matches (England 7/4 in ODI series betting, S Africa 2/5).
Former one-day skipper Collingwood admitted: “After a lengthy lay-off we will hopefully ease him (Pietersen) back and coming into a Twenty20, I’m not sure that’s going to happen.”
Meanwhile, Broad has been sidelined with a shoulder problem and Collingwood says England are “hopeful” that the Nottinghamshire star will be available for the first ODI – which takes place on November 20.
England suffered defeat in a tour match on Tuesday, capitulating to 89 all out in a Twenty20 friendly against South Africa A in Bloemfontein, with the last seven wickets falling for 18 runs.
The first Twenty20 match (S Africa 4/9, England 7/4) takes place this Friday in Johannesburg and make sure you check out all of Totesport’s cricket betting markets before placing your bets.
