Strauss upbeat over Collingwood chances

Captain Andrew Strauss says England (2/1 with Totesport to win the Third Test) expect key man Paul Collingwood to be fit to face South Africa (6/4, the draw 13/8) in Cape Town on Sunday.
The Durham man dislocated his finger prior to day four of the second Test win in Durban and has been a major doubt for the crucial showdown which begins this weekend.
With England holding a 1-0 lead in the series, the tourists are understandably keen to name an unchanged team but, despite coach Andy Flower erring on the side of caution by insisting earlier this week Colly is only a 50-50 shout to play, it appears he is winning his fitness battle.
Strauss watched as Collingwood took a full part in a nets practice on Friday and the signs appear good for him to face the Proteas once more.
The skipper revealed: “At this stage, everything looks fine. We’re very hopeful, barring any last-minute incidents.”
