Scotland suffer Six Nations blow as trio are ruled out
Sunday, February 14th, 2010
Scotland will be forced to play the rest of the Six Nations without Thom Evans, Chris Paterson and Rory Lamont.
The trio all suffered injury problems in the heartbreaking 31-24 defeat to Wales at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday and have been ruled out of the remaining games against Italy, England and Ireland.
Winger Evans underwent neck surgery in Cardiff after being forced off, versatile goal-kicking back Paterson suffered kidney damage while winning his 100th cap and Lamont has a medial knee ligament injury.
Scotland have now lost their opening two games and head to Italy on February 27 for a meeting with the Azzurri in Rome which could decide the Wooden Spoon.
