Believe it or not, the summer is still going on as far as England are concerned as they face West Indies in a two-match Twenty20 international series at The Oval, starting on Friday, looking to complete what has so far been a hugely successful season.

It has been another lively and entertaining weekend of sport and now that the dust has settled we will take a look at some of the things we learnt from the last 48 hours of action.

After another weekend of thrilling rugby, with England, New Zealand (4/7 World Cup Outright) and South Africa all winning, we are now exactly halfway through the group stages of the Rugby World Cup and true to form; the big teams have by no means had it all their own way, in what is possibly the most unpredictable tournament to date.

After battling past Argentina with a less than convincing performance, Martin Johnson and his England side will be fully focused on avoiding a banana skin when they take on Georgia on Sunday (England 1/750, draw 50/1, Georgia 33/1).

England take on India for the final time this summer in Friday’s fifth one-day international – the sides managed a tie at Lord’s last time out, but who will prevail in Cardiff (England 8/15, India 11/8 – Match Prices).

After a less-than-convincing 2011 Rugby Union World Cup win over Romania in their first outing, head coach Andy Robinson and his Scotland side will be looking to put more points on the board when they face Georgia on Wednesday (80 minutes – Scotland 1/16, draw 40/1, Georgia 9/1).

England have swept all before them this year with Test series victories over Australia, Sri Lanka and India. Alastair Cook and Jonathan Trott were rewarded for their stellar efforts on Monday night but it has been a real all-round team effort. So how far can they go?
